Drupal 4.5 was released a little while ago, and has some new features which I particularly wanted to implement. Yesterday I finally bit the bullet and did the upgrades/transfer.

You may have noticed a few glitches during that process, unless you were out on new years eve, or recovering from it ;-)

The differences you may notice are that the main menu has changed a little, and there is some new content on the left side of the front page.

This new content is the news aggregator, which retrieves news from multiple sites around the world, and makes it available in a convenient list.

If you are a registered user, you will be able to choose to display different feed categories, specific web site feeds, or all of them if you like!

You can also access the news feeds from the main menu item.

Keep an eye out for more new features over the coming weeks.

Well, the automated posting of news is going ok now. I should have just fixed it so that it only says "1 item", not "1 items".

Those of you who are regular visitors will have noticed that I've moved things around on the site again. You can still access the full news list from the "News" link at the top of the page, but I didn't like it as the main page.

Why? well, no comments could be made about the news items, the news wasn't searchable and the news items did not get automatically emailed to people with notification set on.

VOR have finally updated their website, and the new one looks almost as trick as their motorcycles (although it doesn't work with Mozilla). Check it out here [url:http://www.vor.it/]

If you had notifications turned on before, and wish to have them re-enabled, you will need to goto the "notification settings" on the right hand side after you log in, and turn them back on. Our apologies for this.

We've just moved the site to a new webhost to provide faster and more reliable service. Like any major change, there are sure to be some glitches. Please bear with us while we sort out any final problems.

We've recently changed the way that the search works on the website, so that now when you search, you not only search dirtbike.ws, but also indexed pages from selected websites that are in our weblinks section.

This gives a much larger range of results, and is makes it easier for you to find the information that you require.

Just a short note to say that the bug which was stopping users from changing whether they were subscribed for notification of changes on the website has been fixed.

If you wish to stop receiving the notifications, simply log into www.dirtbike.ws, then visit the "notification settings" link on the right hand side, and change it from enabled to disabled.
